The Cambridge First Certificate in
English (FCE) is the third level of
the Cambridge exams in English
for Speakers of Other Languages
(ESOL). It is an Upper Intermediate
level exam, set at Level B2
(Vantage) of the Council of
Europe's Common European
Framework for Modern Languages.
This exam recognises the ability to
deal confidently with a range of
written and spoken
communications. Successful
candidates receive a certificate
awarded by the University of
Cambridge ESOL Examination
Board, which is recognised
by universities and employers
in many countries.
The Self-Study Guide is
a user-friendly reference guide
which includes a description of the
exam, commented corrections of
sample exams, strategies, tips,
answers, transcripts and more.
The CD-ROM offers four interactive
sample tests for the student.
Each practice test replicates the
types of exercises and tasks found
in the exam. The CD-ROM
provides instant feedback
and guides the user through
each exam. The visually attractive
materials, the high quality of the
listening material and the wide
variety of exercise types
and activities help to make
practising for the Cambridge FCE
exam a meaningful and fun
experience.
An innovative and distinctive
feature of the McGraw-Hill

and Writing sections of each exam.
This service provides users with
high-quality preparation and a
clear advantage when sitting the
exam. This service is entirely
optional. Additional information
